Ingredients

Ingredient Amount Notes
Soy Sauce 1/2 cup  
Sherry 1/4 cup  
Garlic 1 Clove  
Ginger 1tbsp Powdered ginger per original recipe
Top Round Steak   Should be a thin rather than thick cut of steak
Bamboo Skewers    

Method

  1. Crush garlic
  2. Mix soy sauce, sherry, garlic and ginger to make marinade
  3. Cut steak into 1” strips
  4. Marinade steak overnight in refrigerator
  5. Put steak on bamboo skewers
  6. Cook over open flames on a grill

Modern Notes

Original recipe says to “Barbeque on hibachi” which I believe is using Hibachi as a genericized trademark for a charcoal briquette grill. I interpret this to mean any flame grill would work, and assume most readers will have a propane rather than charcoal briquette grill. –David S
