- Sliced thin if not already sliced
- Trim crusts
- Cut into a variety of small shapes
- Spread with softened butter or margerine
- Cover with waxed paper until ready to use

Modern Notes
- It’s unclear if thin slice is meant to apply to the roast beef or Roquefort Cheese in the second toppings list. The original is missing a comma and I could see it as either. I assumed deli meat would always be sliced thin, whereas Cheese might not be able applied it to the cheese. –David S
