Lentils | 1 box | |
Bacon | 5 strips | |
Water | 4 quarts | |
Carrots | 3 | |
Potatoes | 3 | |
Onions | 2 | |
Celery | 4 ribs | |
Garlic | 1 clove | May substitute garlic powder |
Salt | to taste | |
Pepper | to taste | |
Beef Frankfurters | 5 | Optional - cut up |
Method
- Cook lentils and bacon in water about 2 hours
- Cut carrots, potatoes, onions, and celery ribs in pieces
- Optionall cut up frankfurters
- Add all vegetables and optional beef frankfurters
- Cook until vegetables are soft
- Add salt and pepper to taste
