Ingredients

Ingredient Amount Notes
Lentils 1 box  
Bacon 5 strips  
Water 4 quarts  
Carrots 3  
Potatoes 3  
Onions 2  
Celery 4 ribs  
Garlic 1 clove May substitute garlic powder
Salt to taste  
Pepper to taste  
Beef Frankfurters 5 Optional - cut up

Method

  1. Cook lentils and bacon in water about 2 hours
  2. Cut carrots, potatoes, onions, and celery ribs in pieces
  3. Optionall cut up frankfurters
  4. Add all vegetables and optional beef frankfurters
  5. Cook until vegetables are soft
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste
