Ingredients

Ingredient Amount Notes
Butter 1 cup  
Sugar 2 cups  
Eggs 4  
Milk 1 cup  
Flour 3 cups  
Baking Powder 2 tsps  
Salt ½ tsp  
Vanilla 1 tsp  

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
  3. Separate egg whites from yolks.
  4. Cream butter and sugar.
  5. Drop in yolks and beat. Set aside.
  6. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Alternately add milk and flour to the wet mixture.
  8. Add vanilla.
  9. Beat until smooth.
  10. Beat egg whites until stiff.
  11. Fold in egg whites.
  12. Bake for one hour or until done.

Method

  1. Place 12 oz of chocolate chips in a mixing bowl.
  2. Heat 1 cup of heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until simmering. Do not boil.
  3. Melt 4 Tbsp of butter in microwave.
  4. Pour butter and cream over chocolate chips.
  5. Whisk until smooth and glossy.
  6. Refrigerate for one hour.
  7. Whip with a hand mixer or stand mixer until fluffy and spreadable.
