Ingredients

Cream Cheese 8 oz  
Sharp Cheddar 1 lb  
Onion 1 tsp Grated
Worcestershire Sauce 1 tsp  
Paprika 1/2 tsp  
Parsely   For outside of log
Ground Nuts   For outside of log
Dried Beef   For outside of log

Method

  1. Let cheddar and cream cheese come to room temperature
  2. In meantime, grate onion and finely chop dried beef
  3. Cut cheddar into small pieces
  4. Beat together cheedar and cream cheese
  5. Add onion, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika. Beat more.
  6. Shape into log 6 inches long and 2.5 inches in diameter
  7. Roll in Parsely, Ground Nuts, and/or Chopped Dried Beef
  8. Refrigerate until serving

Modern Notes

  • The original recipe just says to prepare in the same manner as the previous recipe for balls. I guessed some in writing this down as a complete recipe. You may need to adjust the outer layer. –David S
