Ingredients

Ingredient Amount Notes
Cream Cheese 16 oz  
Velveeta Cheese 16 Oz Original recipe says “equal amount of Velveeta or similar”
Salad Olives With Pimento 1 cup Finely cut
Mayonnaise 4 Tbsp  
Worchestershire Sauce    
Onion Salt    
Prepared Mustard 1 Tbsp  
Peanuts 4 Tbsp Chopped Roasted - Original recipe suggests “(N.C.)” - presumably North Carolina style
Brown Bread 1 loaf Recipe suggests “Mary Jane’s Country Western” which no longer exists
Margerine   100% Corn Oil

Method

  1. Cream together Cream Cheese and Velveeta cheese.
  2. Blend well
  3. Finely cut salad olives and mix in
  4. Add Mayonnaise, prepared mustard, and chopped roasted peanuts.
  5. Add a few shakes of Worchestershire Sauce, and a few shakes of chopped onion salt
  6. Mix well
  7. Working with two pieces of bread at a time
    • Spread one piece with Margerine
    • Spread other piece liberally with the mix
    • Put together
  8. Trim off all crusts
  9. Cut each sandwich into 4 or 6 pieces
  10. Refrigerate covered until ready to serve

  • Makes 45 tea sandwiches
