- Mix and pour over ice cubes
Notes
- Makes 24 servings
- Served every Christmas Eve
Modern Notes
- The instruction to mix and pour over ice cubes appears before the champage in the original recipe. It’s not clear to me if the intent is to pour everything into the bowl at once, or to pour the non-champagne ingredients first and add the champagne, or to keep the champagne separate and combine in individual glasses. I don’t think there’s enough liquid to fill a punch bowl without the champagne, so I assumed it goes in the bowl. –David S
- A jigger varies in size in 2025, though I believe most jiggers will have a 1.5 Oz measure and assume that is what was intended here, or else they would have used an integer number of ounces. –David S
