Ingredients

Ingredient Amount Notes
Eggs 6 Separate whites and yolks
Sugar 3/4 cup Separate into 1/2 cup and 1/4 cup portions
Rich Cream 1 pint  
Whole Milk 1 pint  
Blended Whiskey 1 pint  
Jamaican Rum 1.5 oz  
Nutmeg   Grated - for glasses

Method

  1. Beat egg yolks
  2. Add 1/2 cup sugar to yolks while beating
  3. Stir in cream and milk
  4. Add Whiskey and Rum
  5. Stir thoroughly
  6. Beat egg whites to very stiff peaks
  7. Add 1/4 cup sugar to egg whites
  8. Fold in whites to other ingredients

Notes

  • Served in antique rose medallion bowl over large piece of ice

Modern Notes

  • Recipe mostly refers to previous, Easter Egg Nog recipe , adn actually says “Same quantities”. I wrote down the full recipe as I understood that instruction. – David S.
