Ingredients

Ingredient Amount Notes
Noodles 4 cups Recipe calls for Fine Noodles
Ground Chuck 1 lb  
Onion 1 med. Chopped
Mazola Oil 2 Tbsp For frying pan
Tomatoes 6 large  
Basil 1/2 tsp  
Pepper 1/4 tsp  
Salt To taste  
Sherry 2 Tbsp Dry Sherry

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Grease baking dish
  3. Cook noodles and drain
  4. Chop Onion
  5. Brown beef and onions in Mazola Oil
  6. Slice off tops of tomatoes
  7. Scoop out centers of tomatoes, leaving a 1/2 inch shell and preserving pulp
  8. Add to tomato pulp the noodles, basil, pepper and sherry
  9. Add salt to taste
  10. Combine beef and tomato mixture
  11. Fill Tomato shells
  12. Put remaining mixture in bottom of greased baking dish
  13. Put the stuffed tomatoes on top of the tomato mixture in the dish
  14. Bake for 30 minutes or until tomatoes are tender
